Fixed screen partitioning is expensive and can
be a problem when it comes time to rethink internal
space allocation.
In the 'open plan', on the other hand, there is
often the need for relative privacy or traffic
flow management.
Acoustic room dividers certainly provide a practical,
if somewhat bland compromise. Another alternative
has been the use of troughs with plants to provide
.moveable' screens.
The problem with them can be the 'broken' nature
of the barrier and the fact that they often lack
any integral look in the otherwise planned decor.

have designed and manufactured a novel and aesthetically
appealing alternative, the 'GLASS HEDGE'.
It marries a hard finished glazed panelling with
an under planting of foliage contained in custom
finished containers that are semi-permanent.
The glazed panels are two metres high giving excellent
screening while leaving the internal dimensions
of the space unaffected.
The base is custom finished in whatever material
is selected to best complement the existing fit-out.
And the plants....well the plants not only add
that softening touch of green life but bring all
the attendant benefits associated with foliage
in the office environment, humidifying the air,
fixing unwelcome toxins and, as recently reported
by the Department of Health Services, University
of Technology, Sydney, promoting relaxed creativity.

two metre spans and really look a class act.
Whether used to screen off amenity areas, separating
out internal spaces or governing traffic flow
